Adalie turned 4 on September 4th and for her birthday she got a pink cowgirl hat, a pink sweater with a horsey on it and a musical hobby horse. I wish I had audio on these because the music was fun. But watching Adalie and Kylia dancing to the hobby horse is entertainment enough indeed. So cute. Oh, and I threw in a bonus swingset video. (The big park at Sunriver was super-fun.)
Once again, the weekend ended earlier than it should. Friday night was spent in the usual fashion: Anatomy & Physiology -- midterm review, in this case (midterm's tomorrow). Saturday was all about massage homework. I gave three massages and received one. Paperwork isn't due until next week, but I'll be at the coast next weekend (South Jetty -- Florence, Oregon) for a family reunion/campout deal, so I needed to get ahead a bit. (It's so weird not procrastinating. I hardly recognize myself sometimes.)
Sunday was spent doing laundry and studying for this week's midterms. I knocked off about 5:30 pm to enjoy dinner and a movie with Mom and The Dadoo. We watched "Just Like Heaven" and decided that we liked it very much. My dad agreed with our asssessment, even though it was (alas), a chic's movie.
Who is *not* my favorite Muppet! The Swedish Chef is definitely one of my favorites. His performance in A Muppet Family Christmas was both nuanced and, well, hilarious. His growth as a character from premeditated turkey stuffer to birdseed distributer was inspired indeed. And the hands. You gotta love the hands.
Speaking of The Muppets, the Season One DVD is great. It comes complete with a fuzzy green case. I also recommend The Muppet Family Christmas...if you can get it from someone who recorded it off Nickelodeon in the mid-90s, you're in for a treat. It has some scenes not included in the video/dvd available in stores. But if you're like me and your only extended recording is on a Beta tape, the video is a fine addition to the family holiday collection. Just watch out for the icy patch.
